Sierra Soccer Club: Coaches
Please thank a coach! Coaches teach the game of soccer to young people because they enjoy seeing kids learn skills, confidence, and love of the game. Our coaches strive to always demonstrate character, sportsmanship, and to honor the game.

1. No practice allowed during Back To School Nights. Below is the schedule for each school:
Cambridge - September 1st (all teams move practice to Lower Dewey)
Dewey - August 23rd, 26th, & 31st (all teams move practice to Cambridge Heights)
Peck - September 1st (all teams move practice to Lower Dewey)
Coyle - September 2nd (all teams move practice to Lower Dewey)
Littlejohn - TBA
2. I have received numerous complaints from individuals about certain field rules not being followed. Our permits with SJUSD have certain restrictions that we must adhere to....
- We are not allowed to use any school bathroom's. This rule also includes trees and bushes.
- No dogs allowed on the fields.
- No parking in the Dewey parking lot or the back lot at Coyle.
- Always leave the field cleaner than when you arrived. Pickup after yourself and your team, and if you see trash pick it up.
3. All teams should be practicing at their home field as follows:
U6 - Cambridge Heights
U8 - Upper Dewey
U10 - Lower Dewey
U12 - Coyle
U14 - Peck
U16 - Littlejohn
U19 - Littlejohn (pending permit for San Juan High)
4. Last Saturday's Field Day was a success. Upper Dewey was a prepped thanks to Joey, Gavin, Chuck Marks, Julie Lazar, Jason Travis, Omar Hernandez, Sarah Travis, Michelle Hernandez, John Moran, Benjamin Bassett, Kevin Perrine, and John Seymour. Lower Dewey's second field was prepped thanks to Ryan Worthen, Dallon Martin, John Seymour, Jon Sanchez, and Kevin Perrine. Kevin Perrine also re-burned the lines at Cambridge. All the fields have been prepped and are ready for the season.
5. Coyle Field is still not completely repaired. Please stay away from the southern goal on the main field. I will hopefully be able to get it fixed this Saturday. The back field is available to use, but is not marked.
6. San Juan High is now available to use for U19 and U16 teams. Please let me know if you are planning on moving your practice from Littlejohn to San Juan High. The order of priority will be San Juan High Teams, U19, U16 Select, and U16 Rec. I should be getting a practice/game schedule for San Juan soon.
7. I just spoke with Dewey's office and they are not having a Back to School Night on September 2nd. Instead it will be August 31st. If your team practices at Dewey please make sure that you move your practice to Cambridge Heights.
FYI: If you have not yet been fingerprinted, next Wednesday, August 25th will be our last Fingerprinting Session at Roundtable Pizza from 7pm to 8pm.
Thank you for all the time and effort you devote to coaching soccer. If you have any questions about fields or schedules please feel free to contact me via email or phone.
Thanks,
Chris Perrine
